Governor Brown Colludes with Foreign Government—Communist China and Others

...and forms his own Foreign Policy. Looks like sedition to me.

(I said I would post this in a thread the other day. Just didn't have time to read all the sites on it.)

Governor MoonBeam is openly rebelling and calling for others to rebel against the Constitutional authority of the U.S. government. Now this also looks more clearly to be violating the Logan Act—not merely talking to an ambassador of another nation or a lawyer for information on an opponent who may have been doing something we should know about.

Governor MoonBeam and his allies are defying the elected government of the United States claiming to save us from the "gas of life called carbon dioxide." This is part of the radical "resistance" movement by the left. They call the president “insane” the way commies do when someone disagrees with a govt policy.

Brown's actions are illegal, but claim this is legal since it’s non-binding. But if so it is binding Californians into all kinds of taxes and regulations as a matter of law forcing them to comply.

Quote:
California's ambitious climate action includes the Under2 Coalition - an international pact among cities, states and countries to limit the increase in global average temperature to below 2 degrees Celsius.
I thought the Democrats were apoplectic pointing to the Logan Act being violated by some of Trump’s campaign. Yet, here we have U.S. citizens trying to negotiate policy with foreign powers with no specific authorization from the U.S. government.

While Brown was attacking the legally elected president of the United States he was also praising the brutal dictatorship in China as a source of inspiration and leadership.

The states forming unconstitutional alliances with foreign powers are: Washington State, New York State, Vermont, Massachusetts, Hawaii, Rhode Island, more plus American cities.

Of course, all of it is blatantly illegal and unconstitutional. In Article 1, Section 10, for instance, the U.S. Constitution very clearly prohibits the very actions Brown and his allies have been boasting about. “No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation,” it says. As if that was not clear enough, Article 1, Section 10 also says: “No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, ... enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power.”

Katy Grimes, an investigative journalist and a Senior Media Fellow with the Energy and Environment Legal Institute, was among the prominent voices to level charges of treason. [Okay, it many not actually be treason since we're not in open war with these countries. Just note that the left accuses this on even lesser political acts like Don Jr. ] “Brown should be investigated for colluding with a known foreign enemy upon his return to the United States — a federal republic of 50 states of which he is but one governor,” she wrote, blasting Brown's “treasonous” trip to China. “It is unconstitutional for a state to supplant federal powers and act on its own when dealing with other nations. Brown’s latest trip to China to enter into a treaty as a sovereign nation is unconstitutional on several levels, and violates the Logan Act.”

This was not Gov Moonbeams first dip into forming illegal foreign alliances. Grimes cited various illegal alliances Brown has formed with foreign governments and other states, she suggested it was time for the federal government to intervene. Brown traveled to Vatican City in 2015 to discuss climate change with Pope Francis and joined other states such as Canada and in Europe.

Hmmm...apparently some Canadians understand how our Republican form of govt actually works:

Governor Brown didn't do this secretly, call it "fake news" when it was reported, and then repeatedly lie about it.

That's one significant difference.

Isn't California exiting the U.S.? When is that happening? I'm sure we can negotiate an exit with them (The U.S. keeping a lot of the coastline), but they'd be free to subject their people to whatever they want after that.

Why the coastline? That's where all the pinko moonbats live. I want the eastern side, perhaps keep sections of the coast for military bases.

They'll simply have to move inland. We get the 90% of the coast and 60 miles inland (measured at high tide), but will offer them 10% of the coastline in no more than two contiguous pieces as a parting gift. That way the Hollyweird elite can have a place to move. We'll need the other 90% for American things.

So, Dana point to Malibu if they want it in one chunk and want to keep the greater L.A. area (with the "60-mile" line heading due east from those two points), or they'll have to squeeze those north/south beach boarders if they want to keep any of the Gay Bay area too. The only other option we might want to offer them would be to do a one-time buy of a bonus purchase of coastline that exceeds 89 miles (10%), but the sales price would be at 200% at the current property value amount. But the bonus purchase cannot exceed 180 total miles in two chunks. So if they'd want to keep the Gay Bay area, the whole bay, given the 60-mile lines run due east, their entire 10% would could be taken up with just the Gay Bay. They would need to think long and hard about how badly they want the sand...

**** California...

The inland is more conservative. It's agricultural. We need them. The pinkos are never going to move there to mix with what they consider uneducated peasants.

Meh, we'll grant those farmers asylum in America. Let the pinkos tend to the land. They'll do fine, I've seen plenty of Hollyweird assholes who have bought farms.

No, we keep the part of California that wants to remain with American and which feeds us.

The coast just may fall into the ocean one day, then we're left with nothing...and perhaps still have the original Cali Pinkos.
