I think my plan is somewhat risky. But this is a good litmus test to feel out how crazy I can get.

Dang, that hurt. I was down 17-13 against Denver halfway through the third and then gave them scoring drives of only 38 yards, 25 yards, 76 yards, and 28 yards. These turnovers and special teams problems are killing us.

My defense is angry. We're 9th in yards allowed, 5th in first downs allowed, 4th in third down conversions, 12th in passing yards allowed, 10th (T) in interceptions, 6th in QB pressures, and 4th in rushing yards allowed, and 3rd in rushing average. Yet we're 23rd in the league in points allowed.

The only problems we have are that QBs are very efficient against us. We're 22nd in yards per pass attempt, 17th in opposing QB completion rate, and 21st in opposing passer rating. But even with that we're still in the top half in passing yards yielded. We're really scratching our heads in how to fix this.

Duluth's run defense is strong as shit. Also, WTF is my coach doing going for it from my own 31? ASS.

Quote:

2nd Q 10:44 1st and 10 Denver 21 C.J. Spiller rushes for 9 yards.
2nd Q 10:02 2nd and 1 Denver 30 C.J. Spiller rushes for 1 yards.
2nd Q 9:20 3rd and inches Denver 31 C.J. Spiller rushes for 0 yards.
2nd Q 8:38 4th and inches Denver 31 C.J. Spiller rushes for 0 yards. Turned over on downs

Duluth 0, Denver 7
At least I'm ahead. On with the play by play reading!

Oh my. Huge ****ing play right here. Josh Wilson is becoming a hell of a Sandbox CB. That's 5 INT for him already this year.

Quote:
3rd Q 0:19 3rd and 7 Duluth 23

Philip Rivers passes 20 yards intercepted by Josh Wilson and returned 19 yards.

Duluth 13, Denver 24

You had a lot of penalties. Those two personal fouls in the first half REALLY hurt you, though I guess trying to injure Tommy is the only hope you have at this point.

I guess my gameplan worked pretty good. I'd reveal it, but we have another matchup later this year.

After a shaky start with some inflated numbers, I'm very pleased with my defense the last two weeks. I actually went blitz heavy this week and it seemed to pay off.

Actually, I hate to brag, but this could have been really bad for Duluth. You got 10 points off my team going for it from their own 31-yard line, and an 83-yard kickoff return.

With Anchorage losing thanks to the inept Alex D. Smith, Denver is fully in control of the Lunar North, and the last undefeated team in Sandbox 2012.

This team is for real.

On a side note, I can't seem to get CJ Spiller's carries down. I had the sim set to 33 percent for Ahmad Bradshaw, but he only got 4 out of a possible 29 carries. That doesn't seem right.

Also, holy shit, I scored 37 points with only 275 yards of offense?

Side note: I have the #1 offense with the #18 third down conversion rate. That's weird.

I was a bit curious about that play call. OUr defense took that as a slap in the face, notwithstanding the fact that we gave up a zillion points.

I respected your run defense more than anything going in.

I tried to gameplan my way around it by running almost exclusively from spread formations. I don't think it really worked, however, since Spiller had only 56 yards on 24 of his carries.

Actually I pretty much credit my defense for this win. They were amazing.
