Pick #33. Round 2. What to do?

I'm thinking we are going to get some first round talent slip to us at this pick.

Which position would you draft in the 2nd? Assuming that we picked up a QB in round one? Receiver?

I disagree. I still wanted Burfict. Burfict's problem wasn't effort or selfishness. He really was a kid that just couldn't get out of his own way. And then he screwed up his combine prep because, to be honest, he's just an idiot.

Richardson's different. He's just incredibly selfish, spoiled and ultimately lazy.

I don't want him at all.

This time last year, as seen in the previous article, he had some questiosn.

I was extremely high on RG3 pre-draft. But it wasn't until about late October that I thought he was worth a top 3 pick.

To answer the thread, you can never have too many offensive playmakers, so I'd take on of those.


A guy I'm looking at later is Jordan Reed from Florida. Big TE that can run and catch.

Cornerback if the talent is there. Really, though, take the best player available.

It's hard for me to say WR, considering if we were to somehow sign Bowe.

I'm higher on Baldwin that most around here, I think he can serve as the deep threat.

The more I think of WR, the more I'd like to have a CJ Spiller like guy that is just a matchup guy anywhere.

I guess Austin fits the bill there.

I wouldn't use their 4th on him and there's no sense in worrying about him in the 5th.

I wouldn't put a single ounce of effort into scouting or interviewing him. He's Darrell Russell waiting to happen.

fair enough. I haven't looked at a lot of 3 tech so I like what Richardson shows on film, being that he's one of the few I've watched consistently.

I do think that the personal issues are troubling and would think interviews play a big part in his draft selection

You can never have too many defensive backs.

You can, however, be short by about 3. At present, that's exactly where we find ourselves.

If you have a decent QB, he can act as a force multiplier that makes all of our playmakers better. Moreover, we can't gauge what we do have on this roster without a legit QB in place (except for McCluster...he sucks).

We do know, however, that we're a #2 CB shy and that we desperately need an upgrade at both RDE and LDE.

I'd take the defenders and make 2013 year an evaluation year for the rest of the offensive weapons on the team. Only after we get a QB in here can we actually hazard a guess as to just how dire our need for more offensive skill position players is.

Need a CB #2 and I wouldn't mind grabbing a FS somewhere, as someone mentioned, Jefferson from OU is tough.

We're on the same page w/ Baldwin. As a STH that was high on the pick, I've spent plenty of time watching the guy.

Baldwin can get open. He gets jammed on occasion, but he's certainly not a liability against the press. He's fast, he's athletic and he has great body control.

He's probably not going to be a #1, but he's much much better than this. I keep going back to Vincent Jackson and I'm going to keep going back to Vincent Jackson until Baldwin has a chance to play with a QB that will bother looking to his side of the field and under a DC that will try to utilize his strengths.

He reminds me so much of V-Jax that it's not even funny. He's a bit of a long-strider that runs mediocre routes and can occasionally lose his hands. But he's an acrobat in the air with an outstanding size/speed combination. He and Jackson are so alike in so many ways that it's just hard to ignore it. And Jackson took quite some time to finally get it together.

I just cannot bring myself to give up on the kid, not until he has a legitimate chance to succeed.
