Uh-oh, they better get a refund. We all know thanks to the wisdom of the Tru Fan QB gurus that a QB must go through 3 reads on every play to have success in the NFL.

Geno will be on the Danny Parkins show today. Probably the same old crap, but at least the media is pimping him to the fan base.

Dude, you want to separate Dorsey and Reid and give them a clean slate.

For most normal people, that's not possible.

Opinions are always going to be shaped by the fact that this team hasn't WON A PLAYOFF GAME IN TWENTY YEARS.

And if they pass on a QB, AGAIN, it's going to be further colored by the fact that we sit back and watch the Chiefs do the EXACT OPPOSITE of the rest of the league, over and over and over again.

Some of us have been fans since the 70's and before. It's pretty easy to see what mistakes this team has made over the years. There's NO REASON to give Reid and Dorsey the benefit of the doubt if they continue to make the SAME MISTAKES.

Reid taking Star #1 overall is EXACTLY the same as Pioli taking Jackson #3 overall, no hindsight needed. It WILL fail. We already know it will.

Dorsey was on NFL AM and said they haven't started their QB analysis and will get to that position on Friday or Saturday.

Interesting though is he was asked if he would feel comfortable going into the season with Matt Cassel at QB and his only comment was "Matt has displayed the ability to play in the NFL." Lots of good insight in that comment to me...Matt is toast in KC, praise the lord!

Hell I'm not the biggest Geno fan, but if we pick him at 1, I'll gladly support him because he's a Chief and Reid/Dorsey are smart guys.
Exactly zero people have said that and actually meant it.

Man I just realized the worst thing about them taking someone like Star is it's not hard to justify...because people think Dorsey and Jackson are busts.

In fact it's easier to justify than Joeckel.

Scary thoughts man...I hate my brain.

There's a logical fallacy in your line of thinking, though.

Star is a VERY similar prospect, to Jackson especially. If Jackson is a bust, there's no rational reason to take Star and expect it to turn out differently.

There is a war going on on reddit. True fans are on the offensive.

http://www.reddit.com/r/KansasCityCh...t_of_the_geno/

However, if we're going to get a QB that we are just expecting to be above average, why not do that in the 2nd round and get a potential shutdown corner that could be better than Flowers; or an ILB that can read offenses and close off the middle of the field and tackle like an animal... I'd even say WR here if there was one that wasn't even more of a reach than Geno Smith.
Quote:
That is absolutely true, which is why I don't think we should take him. I'm a fan of the kid out of Arkansas at QB, but that's beside the point. If you have the #1 pick you need to get #1 talent and I just don't think that Smith has got it. Especially watching him the second half of the season vs. the first half. First half he was insane but the second half he dwindled out to average. I can't help but wonder if that's indicative of a problem.
Quote:
Agree with the first part, there isn't a clear #1 talent, but there is a top tier of talent and Geno Smith isn't in it. There are definitely a couple top tier O-linemen and a lot of pass rushers. So I disagree with the second part. The only reason he'd go in the first half of round 1 is because of his position.

It's not MY line of thinking.

It's theirs, and your average fan thinks Jackson sucks and we need a DL!!!

Geez people are dumb. So, it's alright to draft other positions that they don't deem elite even at positions WE DON'T NEED, but not at QB?

This fanbase is facked/Bubbles

and Dorsey was a much more highly regarded prospect coming out...so the whole "it's a safe pick" line doesn't fly
