Colonoscopy Wednesday morning
Any suggestions ? I've got my colon blast prepped .

Dr. Told me she is a huge 49ers fan. I told her thanks for the QB, how'd your year go.

Was that a bad idea ?

Sorry to hear that. Katie Courics husband Jay Monaghan died at like age 38 from colon cancer and thats why I had my first one in 2002 at 37 and back then they still did them in the hospital. I had another one last year and now they do them in clinics. in and out in no time.

Two different doctors tell me it's just gas, there's nothing over there and I'm like ,well, for 51 years I never had this sensation. Doctor number 2 says ,your 52 ,time to get the butt probe.

Start eating yogurt or drinking kefir too. probiotics are your friends. it will put good bacteria into your gut and regulate your pooping.

I had one about a month ago after some health issues that came up from going some places in Central/South America earlier this year that most people with a choice or half a brain would avoid.

You've already got most of the good advice. If they gave you Gavilyte, godspeed getting that shit choked down. My advice is get some candy that goes with your instructions (not x,y,z colors). I did butterscotch and lemon. I was told put that in one side of your mouth and a straw in the other. That didn't help, but chugging large amounts while holding my breath and immediately popping 2-3 candies was the best method I found.

My only issue was I don't think they got me under enough and I remember waking up with a short, sharp pain and a grunt. After that it was sweet, sweet darkness until the ol' butthorn solo.

Other than that, piece of cake. Very, very runny and explosive cake.

I had a series of spinal injections into my back a couple of years ago and after the second one I got silly. They tell you not to eat or drink anything before hand because they put you out for an hour or so. I went to the feed store and drank a few beers on the way home that morning and the injection was at noon or so.

I woke up and was violently shaking like the exorcism chick with all the nurses and doctors freaking out thinking I was going to die. At least I didn't shit the bed like one of the other patients.

A friend had the procedure a couple of months ago. He didn't have to drink that nasty stuff they've prescribed for years. He was given a couple of pills and had to drink a bunch of Gatorade. Sounds better than the old concoction.
