***Ask Lonewolf Ed Anything Thread***

Lonewolf Ed was given some bad news recently. While he is going to be busy kicking some butt, I thought this would be a good chance for us to get to know more about our friend.

We are mostly an anonymous group of strangers, for the most part, but sometimes its nice to humanize this place and get some value out of these relationships.

So ask away! Let's get to know his views on life, his funny stories, his firsts, his favorites... there are no rules, except for the ones he makes.

Here's to Ed!

Fool For Your Stocking by ZZ Top. It was the first song I played on my stereo after my best friend was killed in a car wreck on Sept. 12, 1980.

Ramble On by Led Zeppelin. It has one of the most beautiful sounds I have ever heard when Page does whatever he does with the guitars about halfway in the song. I can also relate to parts of it, searching for the girl, since I've never married and truth be told, no woman has ever told me she was in love with me.

Bron-Yr-Aur-Stomp by Led Zeppelin. It's a song about walking a dog, really, and became more important to me when my beloved rott, Freya, grew too old to walk with me and even more so after I lost her on January 19, 2011.

Hard Road by Black Sabbath. It's about life, loss, and plodding on.

Junior's Eyes by Black Sabbath. It's not about losing a friend, but it makes me think of my best friend who was killed in the car wreck I mentioned.

I Could Have Been a Dreamer by Dio (I couldn't go with just 5.)

Have you found any comfort in knowing that we are all on borrowed time, and how do you want to be remembered?

No regrets, really. I have misunderstood some of the CP slang at times, but shrugged it off. I posted something as a reply about joining the King Christian IV Guild in Denmark this year. I was very proud of that as it was a great day for me and I had drinks with a survivor of two concentration camps. He was a resistance fighter as a teenage and was captured twice.

Not sure if serious... I don't hate the Chiefs. I've suffered and cussed and fumed over heartbreaking losses, almost sworn them off during the recent years, but I've always wanted to see them win it all.

Not really, since I've had an understanding of that fact for a very long time, most of my life in fact. In my idea of the ideal world, all of us would get to live our lives in health and happiness until we were 100, and after blowing out the candles and having a slice of cake, thank our friends and family for coming, then POOF! vanish in a puff of smoke, no tears and no regrets. But, losing my best friend when I was a month shy of my 13th birthday drove home the point that we live in a world where tragedies happen, kids can die, getting old can be worse than dying, and things seldom make sense why they happen.

I guess I'd want to be remembered here as a guy who loved his dog, who bled Chiefs red and cheered them on until he was hoarse, and who loved to share a good brew with friends.

I never really ranked them like that, since I have a wide variety of likes in rock and to a lesser extent, blues.

Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin are definitely my top two, though. I have favorite songs that may be on an album where the others are not as good to me as songs on other albums, so I really don't have a favorite overall album. My favorite singers are Paul Rodgers, Dio, Michael McDonald, and Bruce Dickinson.

I started having sharp pains in my lower intestines around New Years and passing blood at times. I tried a colon cleanse first and after giving up on it, saw a doc, got a blood test, but it was not for cancer but did show no leukemia. Then I consulted with a colonoscopy doc, and they didn't advise me not to go on a trip, so I had it done after I returned. It wouldn't have helped, since they said I have had this for years, just never knew it. I was 46then and still am. Not sure yet if 47 will be reached.
