Selling My Gibson Les Paul Bass Guitars

I know there are better places to advertise these. I figured there are bass players here as well as musicians that work with or know bass players. I also figured there are non-musicians who know bass players. Yada.

I would prefer to sell to a fellow CPer or friend of one.

1993 LP Special 5 string minty.

1995 LP Special 4 string minty.

2011 LP Standard 4 string new case queen. Part of the first run of 400.

Been a few years, but I was that drummer for a time. I did learn the bass, or try, and found it a pretty decent transition from drums, still a bit of rhythm and all. I picked up my first six string about five years ago. Hard to reach an old dog new tricks, but I've had fun with it.

Ahh, the 4 string Special. That bass looks like it is brand new. I would wager it's a life-long case queen.

It's a beaty of a beast when plugged in, as well. You would look marvelous wearing that bass, cc.

What's it gonna take to get you behind this bass today?

I have had Korean and Chinese and even older Japanese Epiphones from the early 70s.

Those Japanese early 70s is the origin of the wives tale.

The Chinese Epiphones are just fine. Especially from the Qindao factory. Gibson built it specifically to make Epiphones exclusively. Samick contracted for Epiphone for a period of time. The Epiphones from the Samick factory are fine guitars. People have issues with that factory making guitars for other companies. I don't think that means the guitars produced there are junk.

If you find a guitar that feels right in your hands, and sounds good to your ears, you have found a perfect guitar.

I have a couple Epiphones (new) from the Qindao plant. I think they are fantastic guitars. The electronics are not on the same level as Gibsons, but they are very easily upgraded.

Don't allow uninformed opinions of others over-ride what your hands and ears are telling you.

I honestly don't have a favorite. They all play like a dream and sound fantastic.

I love playing them all. It's nice to have that 5th string on certain songs, but other than that, I can't choose a favorite.

Ok cool thanks man!

I was thinking used acoustic because I've played old ones that sound great because of the aging of the wood gives it better tone. Are you a dealer? I was thinking you have your own shop
