I had an X-1 as a loner not long ago and while I don't like SUV type vehicles it wasn't bad. The steering at low/parking lot speeds was odd. I initially wondered why BMW would make a car without power steering. The passenger cupholder is also hard to forgive for a German car. Looks like it's stuck on or should pop down but does neither.

Can you put a BMW license plate frame on it or something? My wife has rented a Ford Escape and really liked it, and somewhere along the line we drove an Edge and really liked it. But my wife really wants to go BMW or Lexus to match her image.

I like the Z4's. My main car has been a two-seater for the past 24 years. It's going to be hard on my self-image to drive around a back seat going forward.
