Developers are turning away "Big Boxes" and bringing in more "Juniors".

I grew up North of the River and always considered Metcalf South to be the epicenter of Mall culture in KC. I believe that is where I got my autographed Otis Taylor photograph. That is also where I got my ass kicked in chess by a master simultaneously playing against 30 other pimply-faced kids.

We drove from Maryville to buy a friend stereo equipt. Silo at Northtown only had a floor model, so they sent us to Indian Springs. We got a lot of looks and got the heck out of there. A couple of rural Iowa guys in KCK.

A few years later, I got my first job at West Middle in KCK. Worked there for three years, never went in it. It was an outlet type by then.

Saddened by the demise of Metcalf and Mission Center. Went there a lot when we lived in KC.

It is funny, those are closing, MOA is going to almost double in size in the next three years. Only end up there about 1-2 times a year.

Malibu Grand Prix on 87th did the same thing.

Great times.
Man. I forgot about the unlimited play thing. I used to do that at Malibu. Great time as a kid
