That was awesome! I was standing right outside Petco when he crushed that. That's probably the loudest you'll hear that stadium in 2017. Hoz is just a clutch player, IDGAF what "advance statistics" say. And, no, I don't think the Royals should pay him $20 mill, but damn it's been fun to watch him have some huge moments both for the Royals and as a Royal.
Also, really cool scene around the stadium right now. Lots of USA chants and honking of horns. |

That was awesome! 404 feet into the nasty marine layer that was knocking down bombs all night.
I can't think of many players I'd rather have in a big game than Hos. Dude is just a winner. Damn I'm gonna miss him. |

So Salvy's 2nd MRI came back "ok"--knee inflammation--but Ned said Salvy hyperextended his left elbow on the same play.
"The elbow will keep him out longer than the knee," Yost said. "Probably about seven days or so. We'll see." I looked up knee inflammation the other days and guys were doing 2-5 weeks on the DL with it. Maybe Salvy's is mild. Be great if he's full speed by opening day. |

Local boy Riley Pint is already BBA #46 prospect without having played a single full minor league season. Got one of only 3 max grades (80) on his fastball. Reyes STL and Kopech CWS

Flipping Hosmer man. Announcers were talking him up as the guy you'd want up in a 9th inning situation, and he keeps the line moving. US down by 3 runs... Hosmer doesn't do anything dramatic, but he gets a solid 2-strike single to bring the tying run to the plate with no outs.

Well, it does really look like Mondesi is going to win the 2B job. Hearing great things about how hard he has worked since last season. Not sure it's great for his bat long-term, and it's certainly bad for Christian Colon, but I'd now expect the roster to shake out like this:
C - Perez, Butera IF - Hosmer, Mondesi, Escobar, Moustakas (this starting 4 should be a tremendous IF defense), Cuthbert OF - Gordon, Cain, Soler, Orlando DH - Moss UTIL - Merrifield Duffy Kennedy Vargas Hammel Karns Herrera Strahm Soria Wood Chris Young Mike Minor Minor league signing (Withrow, League, etc.) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It isn't the sexiest roster, but it is solid all the way through.
