Best basketball conference this season? The Big 8. Only Nebraska missed the tournament.

What are you talking about Norm an SEC legend? That's idiotic, he only coached in the Big 8/Big 12. He's not an SEC legend you fools. That would be like saying Tom Osborne is a Big 10 legend. Or leader.

The Big 10 shows Tommy Frazier in promos I've seen. Again, such comedy.

Doesn't really matter. We won't ever be seeing anything ever again from Nebraska or Missouri on the national scene. They can be celebrated by their conferences on late nite network ads showing grainy film from.....whenever.

New Big East adds Butler, 2 others

NEW YORK -- Butler, Creighton and Xavier are moving to the new Big East.

They will join the so-called Catholic 7 basketball schools that left to start a new conference and are keeping the Big East name. The league also announced Wednesday that it has completed a broadcasting deal with Fox.

Butler and Xavier are leaving the Atlantic 10. Creighton departs the Missouri Valley Conference.

They join Georgetown, Villanova, Marquette, St. John's, Providence, Seton Hall and DePaul.

Atlantic 10 commissioner Bernadette V. McGlade said in a statement that the conference's partnerships with Butler and Xavier have "been mutually beneficial and successful."

"I wish Xavier University and Butler University all the best in their new conference," the statement said. "They are two outstanding universities with outstanding people."

McGlade said the A-10 had "anticipated this move and are prepared to proactively move forward."

"As a longtime strong A-10 member, Xavier's departure is unfortunate," McGlade said in the news release. "Butler's departure is a by-product of the chaotic conference realignment environment. BU's association with the A-10 has been a fun ride this year; no regrets from the Atlantic 10 for providing a home for them during the 2012-13 season."

MU does have that win over KU in 2007 to halt KU's National Title dreams.

That was an accomplishment I guess.

I would like to see the Billikens get a home there eventually. Who would be another logical partner if they move to 12?

1) fuck SLU
2) I don't know that there is one. You're looing at St. Joseph's or St. Bonaventure, in all likelihood (assuming they stick to the Catholic thing)
