Who Wants My Mock Draft Picks?

If March 12 comes around and this trade is finalized I'm ****ing done. I don't want to think about the NFL draft or anything related to it.

Write a short response wherein you explain why you should have my picks and I'll give them to you.

For Hamas and others who think that all of this is just more shit eating, you really should go find another team. Dorsey, Reid and the new staff are bright guys. They have a track record of success. They are putting pieces together with a much bigger picture in mind. If you can't keep from brain frying after every move, it makes more sense to focus on something you enjoy.

I feel like KC is finally getting some direction. But hey, that's because I know Andy Reid a little bit...I know Chase Daniel a little bit...I have seen much more Alex Smith than anybody on this board. I think all of these guys are going to make us better immediately.

I'll be here in the fall whether I'm right or wrong. Enjoy your new teams and fan boards...try the Donks, they have a nice big bandwagon you can jump on.

Yeah, listen to Buddha. You think this is some democracy where you are free to air your beliefs and challenge your superiors? How dare you?

Buddha is obviously a man of faith, hence his name. Faith tells you not to question what you are told by authorities. You must accept what those on high tell you.

They tell you to ignore what your eye can see or what evidence suggests. It was the Age of Reason that doomed religion; and, we'll be damned if you let Reason destroy the bubble we have created here.

The High Priest knows God better than the layman. Andy Reid knows more football than the layman. You must trust the High Priest. He tells you that Alex Smith is better than Matt Cassel, you must believe it. The fact that their statistics are similar is not evidence. The fact that their style is the same, is irrelevant. The fact that their strengths and weaknesses are similar, is not evidence.

The better evidence, the Priest tells us, is that the 49ers had 6 wins out of 8 with the Chosen One as QB. The fact that the rest of the team was Super Bowl quality and that any QB could have taken them to the SB is beside the point, and likely apochrypha. Trust the Priest. Suspend your disbelief. Suspend your reason.

If the Priest says a man likely to be cut by his team, and only fielded a 4th rounder from the Cards, is worth the equivalent of a good first round pick, he must be right. He knows more about football than you.

If the High Priest says that it is right to draft an unproven LT at 1.1 to replace a proven one, and save $2 million in salary, and then cut a productive RT to save $2 million in salary, you should get down on your knees and thank the High Priest for his benevolence. He knows football, and God, better than you.

If he chooses to spend that $4 million in savings in signing the likes of Chase Daniels, a man with 9 passes in the NFL and let go by the Saints without a murmur, you should worship the Holy Man for his wisdom. He knows football better than you.

A loyal congregation follows the Holy Man blindly. To do less is to blaspheme God. Just ask the Grand Ayatollah. If you do not love our religion, you are free to go. One may only follow and serve. One may not question.

Listen to Buddha and learn what is wisdom.

I haven't said many of those things, but I did appreciate your zesty sarcasm.

It's foolish to argue the merits of Chase DANIEL (note...no S at the end). You don't want to hear it, and until he starts playing, there is nothing to prove the point. The Chiefs obviously weren't buying production there. Reid/Dorsey know what they have in Daniel...he's no smaller than Russell Wilson, his arm is every bit as good, and he's been perfecting his craft with Payton and Brees for several years. He's not crippled, and I believe he's prepared to be THE GUY in the NFL. CD was more accomplished in college than Wilson, for what its worth. He was a Heisman finalist. A terrific player.

As for the Alex Smith haters, who had the top QB rating the NFL when Smith went out? I don't think he's an elite QB, but he's better than most on here want to admit (which is a damn odd thing, btw). Let's tear everything apart before one game is played.

KCDC...why don't you take a stab at suggesting a solution if you don't like what Reid/Dorsey are doing?

And finally, if you've read any of these threads, you'd see that I don't think there is one left OT that is worth 1.1. I've posted that several times.

Carry on.

Fair enough.

Solution would have been to:

1) offer SF a 5th rounder for Alex Smith. Commit to Smith as a caretaker QB for a year or two while we develop our own QB. I'll take the lower floor to get the higher ceiling. Maybe up to a 4th rounder to beat ARIZ, otherwise, let ARIZ have him.

2) Draft Geno (he has all the tools and is accuarate, but needs some coaching)

3) Draft another QB in late rounds (e.g. Dysert), just in case

4) Use 2nd round to draft CB or safety

5) Use 3rd round to draft ILB or TE

6) Keep Winston and sign FA guard (OL now set)

7) Tell people I love Cassel and then trade him for anything I can get

1. They weren't giving Alex Smith away for a 5th rounder. They simply weren't. There were other teams offering more. They didn't offer a 2nd rounder to beat out 4th round offers...? That doesn't even make sense. Arizona was offering much more, and so were the Jets. Who knows who else? If you don't get Alex, you don't have a credible starting QB this year. I think Chase can be that guy, but most of CP doesn't believe that. There is nobody who thinks that Geno Smith is NFL ready right now. He has terrific tools, but needs time.

2. I'm all for it.

3. nah...been there, done that. Chase Daniel will be more game ready than anything in this draft.

4. yep

5. yep again

6. Bridge burned...Winston wasn't coming back.

7. Tried that...didn't happen.

Lots of magical thinking in there KCDC. I wish some of those things could have come true, but we have to deal with reality.

Reality?

Reality is that Alex Smith is better than Matt Cassel, but not sucking as hard does not equal not sucking.

Reality is that Chase Daniel is just some god danmed MU homer fantasy boy who has proven dick in the NFL.
