I would be pretty disappointed for a couple months, and annoyed for years. By March or April though, the pennant would still look pretty good flying in left field. This is not like the NFL where no one really cares about the AFC champ if they don't win the super bowl, league pennants are a pretty nice 2nd place prize.

I hate that our mojo has shifted so dramatically going into this World Series.

I would be so much more confident if the Dodgers had come out of the NL and we were still the puny little shits that didn't belong there, because that's how we beat all of the teams in our series.

Also, I'm not a huge fan of homefield in a 2-3-2. I loved that we were fast and loose on the road with nothing to lose. Now we essentially must go 2-0 at the start in order to keep the pressure we had on the other team. If they go 1-1 at the K, they did their job and set themselves up to make good use of their 3-game stretch at home.

Then again, this is why I'm a fan and not a professional athlete.
