Orange is the New Black is scamming the system. The creators knew it stood no chance in the drama category, so this way it has a chance to win more awards being in the comedy category.

also, the miniseries category is being scammed as well. Luthor, Fargo and Treme are hour long series. Not miniseries.

American Horror Story somewhat as well, but at least that is "anthology" and tells a complete story each season.

Fargo has told it's complete 1st season story, no different from AHS. Outside possible bit parts for continuity, that cast won't even be back, unlike AHS who puts the same core cast into a different milieu.

I actually think the Daily Show stepped it up this year. They're my pick.
The Daily Show is outstanding, The Kimmel pick was more a "heart over head" type selection. That show has come a long way.

The bigger crime is the system itself. A bunch of 60+ year old voters who are too busy to actually watch TV themselves, so they make their nominations based off of single episodes sent to them. The Emmys can be "scammed" only because the system is ripe for it.

Agreed. OitNB competing with 30 minute sitcoms is a joke.

Any other season but Archer Vice, I would agree. However, I got to root for Bob's Burgers.

There is nothing funny about Orange is the new black. It's certainly wasn't aimed at being a comedy. I couldn't believe my eyes when i saw it listed under "comedy".

Was Matthew better? Or was the character he portrayed simply more interesting?

Harrelson wasn't bad, but McConaughey's was a performance for the ages.

I assume Cranston wins for posterity.

Possibly. It was just a fantastic performance.

Harrelson was great, though. Possibly his best performance, ever.

Yeah they were both great. I think if they swapped roles however, we'd be talking about Harrelson more. IMO Matthew's charector had more depth to it. I think they both did a top notch job and they're both "A" quality actors, but i feel the nod will go to Matt.
