I've got the code that controls the logic of the draft picks rewritten. Works like a champ. I need to check the integrity of the databases and do a few more things before we restart.

In the esteemed opinion of this league, what pick should we start with on the restart? Do we need to back up to a previous pick? Provide your justification. If I find irregularities with the database we might have to override the consensus.

The draft will cease to move forward for absent owners between the hours of midnight to 8:00 AM EDT.

Let's plan on restarting at 8:00 PM EDT on Thursday evening. That should give me enough time to do the things I need to do and for you to reload your draftboards.

Were any of the picks messed up or should we stay where we are at?

Luckily whoever the previous GM was built a decent secondary as well.

Carlos Rogers & Devin McCourty on the outside
Ronde Barber nickel
Johnny Patrick dime

Above subject to change.

Baltimore connection: Bone Crusher Pollard & Ed Reed for safeties.

Jordan "Babs" Babineaux & Jalil Brown back ups. I can move Barber to safety & I remember Babs playing corner when he was in Seattle. I might still try & add a quality DB.

Hayward, Bailey, Thomas and Moore gave up 6 TDs and combined for 14 INTs.

Your four starters? 17 TDs and 9 INTs.

How did my starting lineup do? I've got Mike Jenkins, A.J. Jefferson, Charles Godfrey, and no one at free safety. I think Godfrey was the only starter.

I really need to do some work in this area in free agency.

Last season this team I have was in the middle of the pack in yards allowed, 5th in points allowed, 8th in passing yards defense, towards the bottom in rushing yards allowed, and 3rd from the bottom in sacks. I've added run stoppers and sacks in the rookie draft and trades. So, they might have given up some td's but they should be pretty damn good against the rush.

Ouch.

Well, Godfrey was the only one that seemed to start the entire season. Together, those 3 gave up 8 TDs and had 2 INTs.

In fairness, I also had Dashon Goldson who was a pro bowler at free safety, but he left in an offseason trade to pick up Peyton Manning as my quarterback. And I would say that Manning is probably the top quarterback in the NFL after Alex Smith.

My defense will be the opposite. The only run stoppers are my DTs and my MLB. I have Abraham and Umenyiora as DEs, Dumervil as my full time rushing SLB, and my WLB and secondary are all coverage guys. You're going to have to run against me, because you won't really be able to pass. At least, that's what I'm hoping.

This was probably already covered somewhere, but can we draft guys who were UDFAs, or do we need to sign them after the draft?

You'll get a chance to bid on them after the draft.
