Fashion icon Kate Spade has been found dead of an apparent suicide in her Manhattan home, law enforcement sources tell News 4. She was 55 years old.

A staff member found Spade hanged from a red scarf on a bedroom door at her Park Avenue residence Tuesday morning, a senior law enforcement official and other law enforcement sources say.

I figured. So by definition my ideas can not be worse than yours, only equal or better.


Now, here are some points to consider:


1. My ideas can't result in more suicides. Only the same level or fewer. Nobody will kill themselves hearing my ideas.

2. "Understanding" a suicide only convinces people it's acceptable societally. That's a bad thing.

3. The Church (all 3 monotheistic religions actually) has promised hellire for suicides. That's undoubtedly prevented an assload of them.

People who are depressed enough to kill themselves are so far beyond caring about embarrassment.

You want fewer suicides? I have a novel idea how about we actually give a shit about mental illness other than treating it like people are nuts and the stigma that goes with that.
