The Avs are moving things around. Traded a 6th-round pick for Carl Soderberg's rights (he's UFA on July 1), so they apparently think they can sign him. In other words...bye bye O'Reilly.

I just hope we can get reasonable value for O'Reilly. We need an impact player, period. Can't say I'll be sad to see his salary expectations go, though.

Their cap situation was terrible but, even with it, the Hamilton move is a head scratcher. I think most Bruins fans would love to know what the hell the brain trust has been thinking with all the moves today. They wouldn't pay Hamilton, but they signed McQuaid for $2.75m per year over four.
