Would you guys not feel the same if they were to go out and trade for Alex Smith and draft Star at 1?
I have decided to put the best interest of the Chiefs for success in the hands of Any Reid and John Dorsey. Sometimes we don't get to know all the info but now that Hunt seems to care more, I seriously doubt his guidance has been anything less than build me a super bowl contending team in the next couple of years. The QB part may come now, may come a year from now but it is about the total picture.

Unfortunately, we do need to wait to see what is going to happen.

I would tend to agree with you. However, we are Chiefs' fans, we're all used to this team doing the wrong thing over and over.

Chiefs aren't going to pick up Alex Smith, don't worry about it. Reid came here b/c this team had the #1 pick in the draft and he's going to use that on a QB.

No Ogden or Pace type prospect. Can't draft him at 1.

Why aren't they saying this?

2000 - Courtney Brown - Browns - QB: Tim Couch
1997 - Orlando Pace - Rams - QB: Tony Banks

1992 - Steve Emtman - Colts - QB: Jeff George
2008: Phins screwed the pooch. Should have taken Ryan. He was good enough to be taken #3 but not #1?

2006: Probably made the right choice there. They were still giving Carr time to develop. Weak QB draft

2000: Wow, another horrendous draft for QBs....and they were not going to take a QB the year after Couch. needed position

97: The right choice....another horrible QB draft and a needed position, and they were Banks was still young and unknown

96: Umm.....yea.....Neil O Donnel....that was a Cassel type of move by the Jets

95: Bengals felt they had something at the time with Blake

94: They were giving Klinger time to develop still

92: Still giving George time to develop.

So yea, history is on the Chiefs side here. No great HC or GM is going to look at Cassel coming in and decide..yep, thats my guy! Or Alex Smith for that matter. If Reid and Dorsey do, they are just as dumb as any other previous Chiefs regime and wont last long.

I put on blast that Alex Smiths best season saw him throw for just over 3100 yards, and the beginning of this season, he was averaging less than 180 ypg(34th in the league). That really stopped a lot of people dead in their tracks.
