Heard from a friend this weekend re: Michael Porter Jr.

He's friends with a member of the staff. They expect Porter to go to an ACC power, likely Duke.

And yes, I realize they aren't all Kermit's fault. It's the shitty state of Missouri basketball and Anderson has yet to prove he can recruit in state.

Considering recent comments about "Recruiting smarter" and not wasting resources on kids they have no chance to get, I expect the Porter Mizzou interest to continually cool as his signing day nears.

Only REAL chance at this point would seem to be luring Tony Bennett away from Virginia, and that's not happening.

It would be one thing for him to go to K-State, Alabama or Utah over Mizzou, but getting beat by Duke isn't going to ruffle my feathers. We aren't close to that level.. before, during or after the Kim Anderson era.
