This. If the talent emerges, it's nothing but miles of WIN with this guy.

I'm excited about the DB, but there's no question that Conley is the one to watch.

I still think that Conley is going to be our best pick of the draft.

If he stays healthy, he will be starting across from Maclin before long.

I am fully on this bandwagon so far...I like everything about Conley and the only real area of need I hear about is a need to improve route running. He is intelligent enough to figure it out.

That's a godsend. If you have to pick something that a player has a deficiency in at the position, by far route running is the easiest to address and correct. Footwork, shading, body mechanic efficiency can be easily taught. After that, it's a repetition until doing it properly becomes 2nd nature.

It might sound like a bizarre compliment, but often some of the poorest route runners are the guys who have the star potential. Natural talent and athletic advantage has afforded them the ability to be successful in spite of their lack of technical proficiency. Randy Moss never became a decent route runner because even at the highest level he was a genetic freak that virtually no one could shutdown. Randy was the only person that could prevent him from being a success.

Point being, anyone can become a very good route runner if they dedicate to perfecting it.

Jerry Rice had fairly average measurables from an athletic standpoint, but was probably the greatest route runner and technically proficient wr in NFL history.

I don't know man. He is smart and has the physical tools but he was never anything special at Georgia. He had every opportunity to be special and he never took advantage of it. He was basically a role player his entire time there. It would be nice if he turns out to be the next Mike Wallace or something (3rd round receiver who makes good). It's just not very likely.

I think he will be good on special teams.

Rumor is Moss beat Antonio Brown in a race this week. They've been working out together along with a couple other WRs.

Moss probably takes one stride for every three from ABrown. That would be fun to watch.

You right about this BUT they must have a good release. It is very difficult to coach up a player on his release. It's why guys like Baldwin and Jenkins didn't make it.

I was considering break off the line, beating the press, and separation as separate skillsets. I agree with you totally. I was under the impression he has done pretty well in the above mentioned?

This exact thing is why if you play fantasy football you should reach for Julio Jones. Apparently he finally was forced to learn route running after the screw in his foot popped. I hear he is destroying people in camp.
