Russell Wilson is one of the best interviews in the NFL. The dude is as intelligent as they come.

AND if you watched the Falcons game...Wilson is every bit the passer Luck is at this stage of his career, and better.

He passed less because he played on an offense that utilized his strengths. Bruce Arians is stubborn. He was on NFL Network yesterday and his arrogance was fascinating. He is going to fail at Arizona and fail hard.

Luck can run the read option and should run the read option especially since you say they had no running game. That would have solved that issue and maybe they would have fared better in the postseason.

Your ability to judge QB's doesn't exist. I'd rebump our conversation about Eli before he won his Super Bowl(s) to show how ignorant you are when you talk about QB's but it is locked.

I'm not even bashing Luck. He had a very promising rookie year.

He was not as good as Russell Wilson. Not by any standard.
This is the most reeruned thing I have read in quite some time. My god man.

?

You're telling me Andrew Luck couldn't successfully run read option plays within their offense?

I am not suggesting he should be a read option QB, I'm saying Bruce Arians could have implemented the read option with his ATHLETIC QB that would have taken some pressure off of him to throw 50 times per game because they couldn't run the ball.

It isn't Russell Wilson's fault he was better coached and had coaches that recognized all of the things he could do and utilized him to full capacity.

But Luck is a robot built to play QB. These comments I read on the internet claiming Wilson is so far ahead of these other guys or more mature don't know what they're talking about. Luck set rookie records for yards, yards in a single game, 300 yard games, game winning drives, and on and on. It's really kind of amazing that people have just glossed over it all because he doesn't run like Barry Sanders. It's almost like no one noticed. He probably had the best passing season by a rookie in NFL history. How can you argue otherwise? I don't know how you can say the QB who led the league in game winning drives didn't show poise. You look at other highly touted #1 QBs like both Mannings and Stafford, and they did not throw more TDs than INTs their first year. Luck not only did that but lifted an average (likely below average) team to the playoffs.

Matt Cassel averaged more yards/game passing than Russell Wilson did this year. Although Wilson did average about 30 yards rushing a game. Maybe it won't matter... you do have to have some semblance of a team. You need a franchise QB to win, but the best QB doesn't win every year. Russell Wilson with the #1 defense might have a better shot than Luck with a bottom third defense. That may be true. Joe Flacco certainly hasn't been the best regular season QB the last couple years but he's been a different guy in the playoffs. Meanwhile Rodgers and Brees both played out of their mind in 2011 and their teams bombed in the playoffs.

Luck was also running the entire playbook from day one. RGIII was running screen after screen with an occasional bomb to keep em honest. Luck was making the advanced throws you expect out of an NFL QB. RGIII was largely protected. That's fine. Most rookie QBs are protected in that way, but Luck took over the whole offense from the start.

RGIII was more fun to watch, but even this year I would have rather had Luck as a Chief. His willingness to make mistakes and fight back from them is why I would have killed to have him in the future.

You don't take a guy like luck and have him run the read option. Where Arians screwed up is by having hardly any checkdowns available. Very few screens and such. When he did call the rare TE screen, it worked very well.

Arians wanted to chuck it downfield every play even though the offensive line was horrible and nobody cared about playaction.

You say you love good qb play but call Luck mediocre this year? That is reeruned. You point to his completion percentage and say he was mediocre. What you don't look at is the other qb's in Arians system. It does not do the qb's any favors historically. How many times did RG3 throw screen passes? You put him or Wilson in Arians scheme and their production falls a good amount.

Also do you know how many drops the Colts had this year? I believe Avery and Hilton were 2 of the worst in the league. You can check that but you don't need to. It is accurate.

Packers, Lions, and Dolphins. Go watch Luck in those games and tell me he didn't pass the eyeball test as much as Wilson.

I am arguing for Luck. Not against Wilson. I really like that kid

I wouldn't quite go as far as to say more intelligent.

The word I would use escapes me right now. Drank too much last night lol. Suave would probably do.

He's not as cavemanish, that's for sure. I would agree he is far more articulate
