Yeah, so I saw a lot of movies this weekend.

Elizabeth: The Golden Age - Mediocre, at best. Slow and dragged on. Shorten it to 2 hours and it's golden. It's not, so it fails.

Michael Clayton - Amazing. Everything about it is awesome. However, it's VERY complex and mind bending. You have to think, so be prepared. I still feel like I'm missing key details of exactly what happened. Gotta see it again.

Across the Universe - Perfect is one word that comes to mind. It just works. And, contrary to many people I bet, the movie is best viewed sober. Trust me.

Finally watched Valentine's Day. Ultimately sickening to have that many happy endings in one movie. To many big names with too many story lines. I didn't not like, but definitely glad I got it on Netflix.

So....watching 'Signs' Frazods favorite movie and realized Joaquin Pheonix must be dead or something. Nothing on IMDB about upcoming projects. I remember the last time i saw this guy was on leno for that 'documentary' how he's 'retired'. Starting to wonder if he has.

Thats why netflix RULES...you can watch movies you would never pay money to rent at a store.

Never read Garp, but I like the movie. I understand the book's much better.

As for 1984, I was going to read it, but since we'll be living it soon enough, I fail to see the point.

His "documentary" was being shopped around. But buyers got scared off by the content. Apparently, there's massive amounts of drug use, Phoenix engaged in oral sex with a publicist, tons of full frontal male nudity and a scene where someone takes a shit on Phoenix while he's sleeping.

I'll quote Family Guy (speaking about River Phoenix's death):

"Unfortunately, about a week ago, he took an overdose of designer drugs at the Viper Room. He died on the curb outside. And now we're left with a hare-lipped reminder of what might have been."

watched "The Hangover" last weekend. I was 'ok'. Certainly no up to the hype.

"Beer Wars"; interesting documentary. I really enjoyed that one.

"Capitalism - A Love Story"; interesting Documentary. NOt sure how accurate it is considering it's a Michael Moore film, but interesting.

we received "Lonseome Dove" and watched a few episodes. Seems very good so far.
