Noticed that no one had started one.

My question is for those who know about keeper leagues.

My group decided after last season they wanted to do a keeper league. The league setup is...$300 total budget w/$150 for keepers. It's a standard 5X5 scoring league.

My question is...what's the best strategy for a keeper league?
I plan on keeping:

Josh Donaldson - $37
Anthony Rizzo - $34
Carlos Martinez - $16
Cole Hamels - $16
Aaron Sanchez - $6
Kevin Gausman - $5
Lance McCullers - $5
Total - $119

I can keep....

Cano - $29 = $148
or
Maeda - $14
Fulmer - $11 = $144
or
Trumbo - $16
Maeda - $14 = $149

The $29 for Cano is much safer than the other options you listed.
