By the way, somebody posted comments from Tim Grunhard about how Kush just doesn't have it mentally to play center in the league. At first I thought this was just trollish bullshit from Grunhard (something he has a history of doing in the KC sports media,) but now I'm not writing this off as just another baseless comment anymore. This April 20th press conference from Kush is abysmal.

I know player interviews are usually awful, but this one is stupendously awful. I haven't heard a player say more and mean less in a press conference EVER. "Working hard and trying to get better." That was it. 4.5 minutes of that answer. Over and over again.

Players sometimes give answers like this when they're trying to guard against something, or when they're really not wanting to be in front of the media answering questions. But if you're Kush, it's just a few questions about the offseason workouts and the departure of Rodney Hudson. They're not grilling you about a murder investigation or trying to pry into deep dark locker room secrets, for ****'s sake. There is no reason whatsoever to be that guarded in your answers.

Either he's a dumbass because he got psyched up over a really simple interview, or he's a dumbass because he got briefed on one answer he can give to every question and just did that until sports reporters got bored and walked away

You're being too hard on the guy, not all NFL worthy players are, or need to be, ivory tickling philosophers or brainiac film students like Ford or Conley... some are just meat and potatoes average joe's.

Grunhards no brain surgeon and he proves it all of the time, but that didn't stop him from excelling at football... Kush has atleast a 50/50 shot of starting at center IMO, in that case I fully expect to see Mitch "The Bitch" starting at right guard.

Arguably the fastest player in minicamp is De'Vante Bausby, an undrafted cornerback from Pittsburg State. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.22 seconds - slightly wind-aided - at his school's pro day. By comparison, the NFL combine record is 4.24 seconds set by Chris Johnson.

That is a lot to glean from a news conference don't you think.

You could use a roll of Necco Wafers and a Clark Bar.

Thanks, but I don't think those items would make very good door stops

The goal this year (year 3 of this regime) should be a playoff win. Anything less than that is a failure, more than that is icing. No more excuses for anyone or anything.

From a visual perspective, it's a pretty disappointing draft and mini roster. I really hope that Dorsey and his Decision Lens input pays off. I'm not holding my breath.

Offensive linemen.

For eons, the Bronco OL guys took the NFL media day fines like champs because they refused to say anything.
