1. The Chiefs finish 9-7, win the AFC West, and secure the 4th seed. They host the Titans and win, 24-9. They go to Pittsburgh and lose another heartbreaker to the Steelers in freezing weather, 12-10. HC Andy Reid and GM Brett Veach stay on.

2. The Chiefs trade QB Alex Smith to the Denver Broncos for a 2019 conditional, and trade DE Allen Bailey to the Atlanta Falcons for a 2018 4th and 2019 4th.

3. OLB Tamba Hali and ILB Derrick Johnson retire.

4. The Chiefs extend C Mitch Morse 4 years, $21m ($11m guaranteed), CB Marcus Peters 5 years, $92m ($40m guaranteed).

4. The Chiefs sign WR Albert Wilson 1 year, $3m ($500k guaranteed), OL Zach Fulton 3 years, $15m ($8m guaranteed), NT Bennie Logan 2 years, $14m ($5m guaranteed).

A 2019 conditional for Alex? Not likely that starting QB coming off his best statistical season goes for a conditional pick.

Edit: Make a choice on Akeem Hunt, he signs or walks.

I don't know why we would sign Henne and Bray.

If you sign Bray he's going to be QB2 IMO. So you either do that and draft a develomental QB, or you just let him walk.

I wouldn't be extending Peters at all until his contract is up. You let him play out next season and see how he responds.

It will be interesting to see how Veach handles contracts of key personnel. I liked Dorsey but we all know he was not the shrewdest of negotiaters.
