Two beautiful things on that play:

1) Mahomes doesn't even wind up or take as many steps as he could have. He's clearly got more in the tank.

2) Hill outruns 3 ATL defenders at basically a jog.

In other words:

The Chiefs can throw a Hail Mary to win the game from their own 25 yard line.

That's insane.

Eh, you want to get a hail Mary IN the endzone.

35.

That would put an 80 yarder in the back of the endzone.

What I liked is you can see him start to wind up and throw it before he is forced to step up. This ballsy mother ****er was going to throw it to the endzone while Hill was a good 25-30 yards away, and there is no doubt in my mind that Hill would have grabbed it.

And the ball was dropped in the basket as well as any ball has ever been dropped.

One perfect moment in time.

If Hill ever learns to run perfect routes and Pat ever gets that "CALM" QB's get when they "get it."

Oh shit, that's not even possible to defend...
I've heard that Hill is actually becoming quite good at route running. In any case, he did one Helluva job in tracking that bomb.

An 80 yard pass from the 35 would come down 5 yards past the back of the endzone. He can easily put it in the endzone from the 25.

If he throws it from the LOS...but most of the time a Hail Mary is thrown several yards behind the LOS. The 68.6 air yards was from the release point behind the LOS.
