Who will be our next Quarterback in 2 - 4 years?

poll forthcoming

there could be a rookie to enter the league by then that will meet KC QB requirements, however.

These will most likely be our only options, so think deep.

I'll guess a QB we draft next year, unless Smith gets hurt and Chase or Bray end up awesome.

Tyler Bray is the most athletic QB we've had in a very long time. If our coaching staff can teach him the fundamentals he needs to work on, then it's his job to lose. The kid can literally make all the throws, which is far more than I can say for anybody since Trent Green and multiple others before him.

Daniels contract is set up to where he starts by year three or he's cut.

Our QB cycle:

San Francisco
San Francisco
San Francisco
St. Louis
New England
Draft
Minnesota
New England
San Francisco

So judging by this our next QB will be from San Francisco, or possibly St. Louis, depending on how the cycle actually works. If we're stuck in a temporal loop, we just looped back to the beginning and we have two more SF QB retreads to work through. Or maybe we just hit the "reset" button and the automatic next step is another St. Louis QB.

So that leaves us with:

SF - BJ Daniels, Colt McCoy, Scott Tolzien
STL - Kellen Clemens, Austin Davis

I figure we have 4 years of Alex Smith to deal with. That rules out Clemens. Colt McCoy would be 31 so he's probably out too.

BJ Daniels, Scott Tolzien or Austin Davis will be your next Chiefs QB.

with Another QB that gets traded for a 2nd rounder with a new Regime in place again thinking they can win it the same way.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).
