Unfortunately, I think the GPS coordinates will lost/forgotten and the money will stay buried in the desert.

In what way would Gomez be involved?? They've always let us in on the inner-workings of the crime syndicate... i don't see how they write a connection for Gomey that makes sense. If anything, he's the only one in the entire show without a "bad" bone. Even Flynn was a dick for a few episodes.

I've thought that also about Gomez. There was a scene in Season 1 or 2 where he and Hank are searching Tuco's car. Gomez tells Hank that he's checked it and nothing's there. Hank pokes around for a minute and finds the hidden compartment with drugs. I think that's when I started thinking it, plus Hank was always busting his balls and cracking on him. Most probably a dead end and not true, but I have at least briefly considered Gomey as well.

Some of us have a hard time rooting for cowardly lying sociopathic killers, even if they are fictional characters.

We're funny that way.

I agree, I can understand why people would root for Walt and can't fault them, but am surprised about how many people do. I stopped rooting for him several seasons in. I'm pretty sure the show creator has even been pretty clear that he's not on Walt's side. He's destroyed the lives of his friends, family, and cohorts, often through lying or excessive pride and ego.

To me, the guy to root for if anybody is Jessie.

Oh, hell yes. No doubt about it.

Jesse's not a choir boy, but he is full of angst over the bad things he has been a part of. Everybody, even Vince Gilligan, acknowledges that Jesse is the moral compass of the show. His flaws make it easy to root for him because you can tell that deep down inside he wants to do the right thing.
