If Smellway wants to hire guys connected to his time as a player (kubiak, and now Ratface Jr) he should hire Greg Robinson

I know the Broncos have already dealt with it once, but wouldn't we all rather see them get that particular brand of clap yet again?

The Chargers are harmless. Have any of us ever worked up any true hate for those guys?

I can't bring myself to wish The Patriot Way on them. That level of disdain is pretty much reserved for the Broncos and Raiders.

I don't know. The Chargers have a lot of talent when healthy. If they ever overcome the injury problems, they can cause some problems for us. Healthy, they are as good as anyone in the division.

True. But I would not want Robinson coaching a 4th grade B team. There is not a Bronco fan that wants him back in town.

To this day-if I see him-I punch him.

You have Andrew Luck as your QB and you play in a division that was just won a by a team rotating between Brock Assmuncher and Tom Savage at QB.
It's cuz Irsay is a cheap ass and doesn't wanna pay out his contract if he lets him go.

I hope Denver gets Sean Peyton. I know this is crazy but I'd offer the position to Peyton Manning.

If he brings them back, this will be why.

Of course, if Pagano hadn't sold out his entire staff and wore out the knees on his slacks last year begging to keep his job, Irsay wouldn't have resigned them.

Still, that's on Jim. He wasn't smart enough to see through the BS.

I feel for teams with inept ownership.

Clark, while not perfect, is definitely a good enough owner to not stand in the way of a potential championship. He's not going to actively sink the ship.

But man, if you're a Colts fan, just how confident can you be that Jim Irsay's not so drug-addled at this point that blind, stupid luck is the only chance you have at a winner until he !@#$ing dies?

There are probably 10-20 teams in major American sports that are drawing dead until their ownership situation changes and as York so artfully stated today - you don't dismiss owners.

And that's why I wish that Al Davis would've found the cure for mortality.

Just look at the Blackhawks under Bill Wirtz and then under Rocky Wirtz. Bill Wirtz was so tight fisted that he pretty much defined penny wise but pound foolish. Rocky Wirtz took over and the Blackhawks became one of the premier teams of the NHL.

Hue Jackson-Cleveland

"I'm not going 1-15," Jackson said. "No. I'll be swimming in that lake over there somewhere. That's not happening."

I'd put Clark Hunt in the top 5 owners in the league.

He takes a lot of unjust shit, but he ate a ton of money on Pioli. He spent for an elite coaching staff, spent a lot on Dorsey and Ballard and the scouting departments.

He's spent on players.

I really don't know what else he could have done as an owner.
