[QUOTE=suzzer99;12788998]I saw Chuck Berry at World's of Fun. Was a great show.[/QUOTE

I worked at WOF as a kid and worked OT that evening at the amphitheater just to see that concert. It was late starting like 2 hours. The reason was Chuck asked for his money up front. The director of entertainment handed him a WOF check signed by Lamar Hunt and Chuck refused it says he only works for cash lol. well in the 70s cash wasnt easy to come by on a weeked when banks closed. I guess it was a mad dash to come up with but they did and the show went on. I was a great concert and got to see him duck walk across the stage from the corner stage.

RIP Chuck you weren't Elvis you were better. Rock is King and you were the originator.

Chuck's penchant for Cash Only is the reason he landed in jail the third and final time: Tax Evasion.

I'm distantly related to Bradley, so he'd be my first choice.

Although he wasn't nearly as warm and cuddly in real life as Karl Malden portrayed him in Patton.

Chuck started it all man.

I remember when I used to stash my stuff in a Chuck Berry 8 track tape. When my buddy got in the car he said 'Let's play Chuck Berry!'.
