SOC - Launching the "Can Pioli" Food Drive

Save Our Chiefs is proud to announce the "Can Pioli" Food Drive. Starting this Sunday against the Panthers, we want you to bring as many canned food items to the game as you can. We want to donate thousands of canned food items. We will post our collection points later this week. We know this is a tough time of the year for the homeless and those seeking assistance to put food on their tables at home. SaveOurChiefs.com wants to help. Stay tuned for more details on the "Can Pioli" Food Drive!

This is turning into a logistical nightmare. But, I don't blame the charities.

I don't blame them either. But it's pretty disappointing that this organization has so much political clout.

That is the sad part.

This time of year they all want/need the donations and are scared to take it because of the organization...

someone needs to inform Clark of this and he NEEDS to make it clear that the chiefs wouldn't hold it against a charity for taking the food.

This is a fantastic idea. Good job guys!

Also can't you donate the food anonymously?

Hopefully the media machine will pick up and run with this point.

Apologies if this is already answered in the thread, or elsewhere in SOC-land, but will there be a way for people who can't attend in person to "virtually" donate? I would be happy to send SOC some money to buy some cans on my behalf.

You'll notice these stickies get less traffic. They do the opposite of what they were designed to do.

What about the red cross?

Wouldn't they find a way to get the food to the east coast?...or would that not be cost effective to transport that much canned goods that far?
