I really think he'll retire. His trajectory has been a lot like LaDanian Tomlinson. Once he blew his knees out, he no longer could run away from tacklers. For a back like Charles, speed and durability is everything. Without it, he's useless. Nothing to be ashamed of. Lots of great backs have had careers ended by leg and knee injuries. Just comes with the territory.

This will come back to hurt us. JC is going to play at a high level again and beat our ass at some point.
This sucks.

Pound for pound one of the toughest s.o.b.'s to ever play thw game. It is a shame his bad knees curtailed a Hall of Fame caliber career.

Sad, but this is life in the NFL. Must constantly purge the system of aging players despite their past contributions. Tough duty by Dorsey, but...

So sad for JC. He was one of the best RBs I have had the pleasure of watching wear the Arrowhead. Enjoy your retirement and please go into coaching... not broadcasting.
---- I don't see Ware being a long term solution at RB for the Chiefs. Perhaps it is from years of being spoiled at the position but the guy is an average runner and a below average receiving option. Ware, in my opinion, is on the bottom half of starting RBs in the league and probably the least fearsome RB the Chiefs have started since LJ in '08 or Bennett in '00. |
