Per 810: Chiefs tried to trade back up into 1st round

And they are looking to move up in the 2nd.

They think Dalvin Cook is the target.

Keenan Allen shredded Marcus Peters last year. While Steven Nelson is a fine inside corner, he was destroyed by 6'5 Mike Evans when Peters was injured.

With 6'4 Mike Williams going to the Chargers, the Chiefs need another CB, especially a CB with some size.
I'd be ok with King.

I was thinking about this and Chidobe Awuzie was who I was thinking of.

I'm shocked he wasn't drafted in rd 1.

We should be able to get a big time playmaker on the defensive side at 59, regardless of position. The 1st round went much heavier on offense than I suspected, and it should open the door to get a really nice player.

Teams are valuing RB's again in the draft, led by Dallas last year. And Cook and Mixon both would be the best RB available in many drafts. Getting either in the 2nd would be a coup, in my opinion.

The Chiefs won 12 last year without the benefit of dual pas rushers for most of the season but the defense really changed with the addition of Mitchell at the end of the season. If he's a pumpkin, I'd like a guy ready to step in and if he's not, there's nothing wrong with excellent CB depth.
Thank you. I've been beating that drum for awhile now. Ford is CLEARLY more comfortable on the left side, and Houston is capable of wrecking shit wherever he lines up. If we can get both those guys healthy and on the field is positions they're most likely to produce from, then watch out. One caveat is Nicolas blew his knee late in the season, so I'm not sure when he'll be back at full steam.

But I can get on board for a corner, especially with the quality that is still n the board.

A pass rusher would be a nice pick, but I think you've gotta be aggressive for an ILB.

Chiefs currently have jack and shit there

My "Dream Scenario" was that the Chiefs would come away with any combination or order with their initial 4 picks with a QB, CB, OLB, RB and OLBer.

With only two picks tonight, I'd be thrilled with OLB and CB.

IMO, they can get an RB and ILBer in the 4th. I also wouldn't rule out acquiring Mychal Kendricks from Philly, who doesn't fit the Wide 9 that Schwartz runs.

He'd be an instant upgrade while solving a need.

They're in Dime so often that I while I believe they need another body, the position isn't as important as a CB or Edge rusher.

We all think they need a corner but they have some choices already there.

Olb and ilb are musts imo. Kendricks and hodges would be awesome.
