Fox said then that he stood by a decision to call a running play on third-and-7 at the Broncos' 47 and then punt the ball away with 1:15 remaining. He has a different opinion now, however.

Fox said he played the percentages on all the calls—nothing more, nothing less.

According to his calculations:

So you think the HC of an NFL team would have zero input on how he wants his team to close out a game? You also must think that the HC has zero input on two point conversions, whether to go for it on 4th down or if his team will attempt an onside kick.

The HC makes all of those decisions, ESPECIALLY in a playoff game. If you think otherwise maybe you are the idiot.

Onside kicks, two point conversions aren't the same as an offensive play call.

It was his call. Every crucial decision is made by the HC. That is why they are the HC. Why is Marty, a defensive minded HC, known for conservative offensive play? Because he decides how his offense will play, not the coordinator.

Come on man, you have watched enough football to know this. Fox told McCoy how he wanted that drive to go and then told McCoy that he wanted him to take a knee to send the game into OT. The HC makes those decisions.
