Watched a few streams of people playing the Overwatch beta. Looks great but unless you have a larger monitor there's just waaayyyy to much going on regarding explosiions, powers, etc.

No release date yet, if you pre-order it says BEFORE june 2016, Amazon leak had it listed as spring 2016.

My bet is that It will go into an open beta at some point

So both Buck and I got into the beta weekend that goes until Sunday night.

First impressions are it is very polished, fast paced, and very fun. The gameplay is fluid, and the map objectives are pretty straightforward so at least the maps themsleves have a soft learning curve. The heroes are varied enough in the abilities that no two are remotely alike. I found in my gameplay session from last night I am extremely effective with Tracer, going on a couple 10+ killing streaks and at times really wreaking havoc on the enemy team.

I do have some qualms with the game, like no kill feed, no stat page you can look at in game, and the fact that they are being tight lipped on all heros post-launch being free (they need to to maintain competitive balance when Hero selection is so important)

Will be streaming some gameplay later tonight, most likely with Buck as well.

www.twitch.tv/falxftw follow me and turn on notifications on for an email when I go live~

So just a couple things here

Kill feed = implemented
stat page = implemented and LOADED with info
post launch heroes = FREE!

So they took care of my big 3 concerns.

Game is pretty fun and has the potential to be really great.

There are some UI issues, and I want to see how "leveling" will work in the final product. I just hope they give you something to work toward.

I got in too, I've been really enjoying it. Characters are all unique and there's a lot of ways to outplay your opponent. I'll be on after the game tomorrow night if you guys want to play, shoxxx#1426

Let me just say a Tank + Healer that have comms with each other are probably the best thing you can have in this game.

The tank can let healer know when he needs heals and the healer can do recon while roaming to heal others and report back to tank what he sees. I can't stress how invaluable that is. I wish I had recorded our entire session tonight because we put on a clinic.
