You mean like a right tackle?

Or a backup OLB?

Fisher wasn't a ****ing need. Dee Ford wasn't a ****ing need.

Bills have a legitimate top defense.

Bills also have one of the better WR cores in the NFL.

Bills also have one of the best RB groups in the NFL.

They are as stacked as any team in the AFC and are only struggling because of one guy, EJ Manuel. A change had to be made if they wanted to win anything this year because Manuel clearly wasn't getting any better.

Guarantee you that if Manuel showed any improvement whatsoever, he would still be starting. But he hasn't, he still sucks.
Yep......

The Bills reportedly wanted Manuel to sit last year, but the Kolb disaster made that impossible. Now, with Manuel struggling, they can put him on the bench and let him take a look from the sideline for a while.

Thanks Goodell.
I agree with this.

The owner promised the fans a playoff appearance this year, if they even want to sniff that, then going to Orton was the only play to make.

He'll start stringing some wins together for those guys, bet me.

You might want to hold off on that bet. Buffalo's next two games are at Detroit and home against NE.

I'm 100 percent in favor of being methodical and purposeful with a QB's development, but I'm not sure how well this approach will work.

First, I don't think Buffalo has an approach. Rather, I think they're being reactionary pussies. And, assuming the owner really did promise a playoff birth--I'm not doubting other posters, just saying I wasn't aware of it--this adds evidence for my previous assertions.

I share your doubts. The upcoming sale probably has something to do with this push for the playoffs, and that's not a good thing.
