Movies

Yeah, so I saw a lot of movies this weekend.

Elizabeth: The Golden Age - Mediocre, at best. Slow and dragged on. Shorten it to 2 hours and it's golden. It's not, so it fails.

Michael Clayton - Amazing. Everything about it is awesome. However, it's VERY complex and mind bending. You have to think, so be prepared. I still feel like I'm missing key details of exactly what happened. Gotta see it again.

Across the Universe - Perfect is one word that comes to mind. It just works. And, contrary to many people I bet, the movie is best viewed sober. Trust me.

That movie had some very funny moments.

You wanna see some sketches of Zach G being Zach G then you need to go to Funnyordie.com and watch his "Between Two Ferns" sketches.

Hilarious.

I broke out some relatively recent ones. I put in the 2009 Star Trek BluRay. Man, I've forgot how much I enjoyed that movie. As unbelievable as the story is, it felt believable. And pretty much all the (main) characters nailed it. I absolutely cannot wait until the next installment.

Also broke out Ridley Scott's Robin Hood BluRay. Son of a bitch if that isn't a quite enjoyable movie also. I know there are some here that despised it, but man, I really enjoyed it.

My girlfriend watched Brokeback Mountain in the living room while I watched the Royals in the bedroom. I don't know which is gayer.

And seriously, this was our afternoon.

People on thi site love Emma Stone. Shes cute in a nerdy, normal-girl way but not smoking by any means.

Journey to the Mysterious Island was entertaining.

Wife rented This Means War.

It was pretty bad. Really. But it is moderately entertaining. There are a couple of funny parts, most of it is Chris Pine just being funny.

There are a couple amazing things about the movie though. Tom Hardy made an incredible transformation to Bane. Dude can really act. And is a bad ass. BAMF.

Reese Witherspoon is still unbelievably hot. After having all those kids and as old as she is, she looks ****ing amazing. I am truly impressed. I want to hammer that hard.

How to train a dragon was pretty good.

In Time is a stupid ass movie. Took me 3 attempts to watch the whole thing without getting pissed off and turning it off.

Got through about 10 minutes of The girl with the dragon tattoo till I realized that this movie just isn't for me. Had no interest in seeing Lisbeth catch whoever it is she was supposed to catch.

Surprised to see Easy A getting all the love it's getting. It wasn't anything special to me. The plot was amazingly dumb to me.

Agree on that one. Our daughter watched it 3 or 4 times in the 2 days we had it. I didn't mind it either, pretty entertaining for a kiddie movie.
