Trump Approval numbers top Obama at same time of Presidency.

Quote:
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 48% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trumpís job performance. Fifty-one percent (51%) disapprove.

The latest figures include 34% who Strongly Approve of the way the president is performing and 42% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -8.

President Trump has a stronger approval rating today than media darling Barack Obama did back in 2010 on this same day.

Back on February 7, 2010 Barack Obama had an approval rating of 44% while 56% of likely voters disapproved of the far left president.

As for Clinton, I think he only fell to 37 because people really liked him, and a fair portion thought the impeachment was BS.
A good economy had a lot to do with folks still "liking" him... If the economy wouldn't have been strong he probably would have been removed by the Senate.

Perhaps the bump in Trump's numbers is due to people becoming normalized to his idiocy.

His lies today aren't nearly as surprising as they were at the start.

Yea, it probably has nothing to do with the lies that were pushed about the tax plan and it's effectiveness or the Russia scam lies coming to light.

Yeah, no reason to rock the boat when the economy was humming along, thanks to Reaganomics.

If nobody cares, why did Iowa post the numbers I was referring to? I didn't go find that--he pointed it out to me.

Further, Trump isn't performing better than Obama. And Obama, during his first year, with the market in toilet, is the saddest target you could choose. Trump's approval has risen from dismal to terrible.

Why is it an accomplishment to be more popular than the person you think is one of the worst presidents ever?

The mom-jean wearing community organizer to whom you refer has nothing to do with anything at the moment.
When he re-surfaces to campaign for the Dems in the upcoming mid-terms he'll bear talking about again.

Why do you ask?

I don't discount Clinton, and I was not a big fan. But Fiscally, he was a moderate to right in what was approved. This mostly was due to Gingrich and the contract with America. However, he was politically smart enough to jump on the train and take a lot of the credit for welfare reform and other republican issues, instead of blocking them.

Hey Saul, I pointed it out to show that all Presidents have bad approval ratings. Trump is a year into his term and faced similar challenges as Reagan. Reagan's approval dropped to 35% at the start of his 3rd year in office. The next election, he won 49 states, 2 years later. I'm definitely not saying Trump or any other candidate will be able to win 49 states again, but I am saying that your are in denial if you do not see things lining up economically for the Republicans. It will also carry more weight when it was so soundly denounced as bad policy by the left.
