I know it's true because I got it in an email.

Tonight at Midnight. Conficker will activate.


This is an extreme virus with no cure, and no way to easily take off a computer. Do not download files. Do not use flashdrives. Do not use any means of transferring data. In fact. go into your room in your house right now, and unplug your internet access, and scan your computer with Whatever you have.

This is real. not a hoax. Not a scare. It has already infected the British.


It:
Will not allow itself to be deleted
Will boot up in safe mode.
Will clog your Ram and Hard Drive
Infect your network and all windows devices on the network. (a.k.a. No internet for you)
Will AUTOMATICALLY be downloaded to ANY device connected to your computer. Thus infecting ANYTHING you plug it into.
Will disable ALL Anti-Virus, anti-malware, .etc and render them unable to scan ANYTHING on your computer.
Will disable ALL windows protection software.
Will allow ANYTHING, hackers, viruses, identity stealers. into your network.


"My computer is running fine though!"


Thats because it activates at midnight tonight


This is a nuclear war on the internet. Even the Microsoft ENGINEERS and Virus Software Anylists cannot kill the damn thing in its active phase.


Its dormant. It will activate at midnight. Cut off your internet for ONE day. Maybe even thursday. Scan All of your windows stuff now. it's circulating so at Midnight it will strike. and strike HARD.


"But I have a firewall !"


That would work IF we knew where it comes from on the port ranges! Why would I be telling you this if i wasn't worried. I personally am pulling my internet tonight, for good measure.


Forward this to anyone you care about. people need to know this stuff.
