**** Official KC Royals vs. The Angels of Anaheim Angels 5/15 thread ****

Yes, I'm early, but this karma train is leaving, and you're either aboard or you're out! Note: you're not really out, you're welcome whenever. Except you, RedDread.

Let's get this Country Breakfast started!

Royals:

Wade Davis, RHP
2-3, 5.86 ERA
Davis hasn't won since his third start. In his four starts since then, he's given up big runs in three of them (seven runs twice, eight once). On Friday against the Yankees, Davis had good stuff but got too many pitches up and they got hammered.

Last 3 starts
15.2 innings pitched
Wins 0
Losses 2
ERA 9.19
Ks 11

Last 10 years Vs. LA Angels
15.1 innings pitched
Wins 1
Losses 0
ERA 2.93
Ks 15

Last 5 years vs. LAA hitters
LAA Hitters AVG
Erick Aybar .400
Alberto Callaspo .111
Josh Hamilton 1.000
Chris Iannetta .000
Howie Kendrick .429
Albert Pujols .000
J Shuck.B. -
Mike Trout -
Mark Trumbo .000

Royals' Starting Lineup:
Dyson CF
Escobar SS
Gordon LF
Butler DH
Hosmer 1B
Cain RF
Moustakas 3B
Perez C
E. Johnson 2B

Angels:

Barry Enright, RHP
0-1, 11.37 ERA
Enright allowed five runs on four hits over 3 1/3 innings against the White Sox in his first 2013 start, replacing Tommy Hanson, who is on the restricted list.

Last 3 starts
6.1 innings pitched
Wins 0
Losses 1
ERA 11.37
Ks 6

Last 5 years vs. KC hitters
KC Hitters AVG
Billy Butler -
Lorenzo Cain .500
Jarrod Dyson -
Alcides Escobar .500
Alex Gordon -
Eric Hosmer -
Elliot Johnson -
George Kottaras -
Mike Moustakas -
Salvador Perez -

Angels' Starting Lineup:
Aybar SS
Trout CF
Pujols DH
Trumbo 1B
Hamilton RF
Kendrick 2B
Callaspo 3B
Iannetta C
Shuck LF

In the world of shitty pitching, he who sucks least is king. Let's get it on!

Pitching change in the 3rd in a 1-0 game. Think Scocsia doesn't trust his pitcher?

I don't think I've ever seen a starter pulled this early with just one run given up so far. That said I think its a smart move.

The great thing is that the Angels' bullpen is garbage. We need to exploit this.
