I think the truth is somewhere in the middle. The show takes too long to develop characters, but I respect that it's doing so. The show doesn't need tons of action, but it does to deliver a little more often.
The reality is, the standalone/character driven episodes like the Morgan and Merle centric ones seem to be alot better than the plot heavy episodes like last night. The writers seem to lose all logic while trying to drive the plot forward.

This episode was... whatever. Bad I guess? I liked how the Milton thing went down, that he had no choice, to kill her or die (and then kill her). I thought the writing was ridiculous when it came time for Andrea to fear for her life, instead she stares at a dying man telling her to hurry up (which should have been ****ing obvious to any half minded twit). I just want to know why that scene couldn't have been written with her struggling to get handcuffs off with pliers (pretty sure that is damn near impossible) while still talking to Milton. Both of those things can be done at once, and the suspense wouldn't have been lost, and you would have salvaged common sense to be wasted in another scene somewhere else. And I am going to guess that 95% of the viewing audience knew she was going to drop the pliers the first time... weak cliche moment of suspense. It just pissed me off.

The Governor lived, which is better than him dying. The scene where he guns everyone down was great, except it led to nothing at all, which was a disappointment, but I'm not sure what else he could do after killing his "army" of misfit survivors. I want him to come back, kill everyone in the show (except Daryl maybe), and then kill himself, thus ending this show.

My hope for this fictional Universe created by Kirkman is that he writes something that HBO can produce. TWD series has been ruined by AMC.

Too many holes and contrived coincidences in that episode.
We went to the range this past weekend.. Made bets, couple of the guys could not get a body shot period at 15 yards.. Some people just suck with guns..

I got a head shot at 55yards with my glock.. I was aiming for it, but only hit it once in six rounds..

Actually, I'm usually on your side. I need a plot, character development, and adversity. So I usually dig the less popular episodes and enjoy the cheap thrills of what many of these other guys apparently crave.

This episode though was a TOTAL of letdown and waste. Where is the suspense? Where is the "I can't wait until next season to find out what happens with..." moment? There is nothing to look forward to. Where do they go from here? The Governor seems to be a threat of the past for the time being. The prison is now a daycare/nursing home. So I expect almost zero excitement to begin next season. Why should I even care to watch next season?

Decent episode, the most annoying thing was when Andrea did absolutely nothing while sitting in the chair, even after Milton tells her about the pliers. She just stares at him while he's telling her to hurry. The massacre of the townspeople was pretty intense, as crazy as the Governor is, I didnt expect that. You could definately see the shock on the faces of his two right-hand men. I'm kinda wondering what's going to happen with those two guys, they now know how insane the Governer is but can't just leave him, so It'll be interesting to see what happens. I'm also kinda glad that the black couple (sorry, forgot their names) stayed back at the town and know are back with Rick's group. All in all, I enjoyed the episode.

Yeah I kinda feel the same way. It doesn't really have to be a good story. But another element besides gore is really needed. Whether it be suspense, comedy, a good performance by an actor/s, or story, etc. Like Dead Alive/Brain Dead. Tons of gore and blood. Great comedy though.

I LOVE horror movies and I LOVE the Evil Dead movies (2 is the best). I gotta admit, the previews of the ED remake really freak me out. That THING locked in the cellar saying "we're gonna get you".......shit man! I'm not thinking there's gonna be a lot of laughing!

The Governor is not a military strategist. He’s a used car salesmen that fancies himself as a leader of men. Doesn’t bother me in the least that he made stupid mistakes that lead to the collapse of his “army”.

Damn dude, those guys need some practice.
15 yards is on top of you, not being able to consistently score center mass that close is sad.

As for Maggie and Glen I kind of assumed they weren’t shooting to kill but scare since the whole time they’re yelling “Get out of here!”

Is that in the comics? Because in the TV show its never been mentioned what his occupation was. Only that he hated his boss.
