Chiefs trade (Arenas) for...wait for it...a FB?

Chiefs acquired FB Anthony Sherman from the Chiefs...er Cardinals.
New Cards head coach Bruce Arians has no room for plodding fullbacks in his aggressive, vertical offense. So Sherman heads to Andy Reid's West Coast scheme as Jamaal Charles' lead blocker. The 2011 fifth-rounder graded out 20th among 25 qualifying fullbacks in Pro Football Focus' rankings last season. May 1 - 12:11 PM

WTF?

Always good to get something for nothing, even if it's a FB. And by 'nothing' I mean a trade instead of just releasing him.

Arenas is overrated as a punt returner.

The only reason he'd be in the top 10 is because he's consistent and doesn't lose yards. However, he never breaks anything open either. He doesn't have many long returns either.

I hope Dorsey doesn't find out how tall Flowers is. He might trade him for a long snapper.

It was just trading camp fodder for camp fodder. Arenas wasn't making this team. Period.

Guy is shit and always has been.

Fans wondering why #Chiefs traded Arenas for a fullback. From the looks of this trade, Arenas wasn't going to make roster anyway

I"m not so much pro-Arenas; I'm more concerned we traded for a guy that would most likely would've been cut if he was truly not going to be a part of a vertical offense etc.

sort of like Smith - who would've in all likelihood been cut due to his salary.
