Yeah, so I saw a lot of movies this weekend.

Elizabeth: The Golden Age - Mediocre, at best. Slow and dragged on. Shorten it to 2 hours and it's golden. It's not, so it fails.

Michael Clayton - Amazing. Everything about it is awesome. However, it's VERY complex and mind bending. You have to think, so be prepared. I still feel like I'm missing key details of exactly what happened. Gotta see it again.

Across the Universe - Perfect is one word that comes to mind. It just works. And, contrary to many people I bet, the movie is best viewed sober. Trust me.

They're a fantastic take on young and mature love. Probably Richard Linklater's best films.

If I remember correctly, I saw Before Sunrise when the hype for Before Sunset started. So, probably like 2002. Then, of course, I watched Before Sunset. Wonderful flicks that I really need to watch again.

I watched "Before Sunrise". It was fantastic.

The ending made me feel.. lonely.

See, I would have thought that guys thought of them as "chick flicks". You guys never cease to amaze me.

Man, I haven't seen them in forever. Now I'm gonna add them to the Netflix queue...lol.

The movie Sideways came up as a recommendation when I added those two flicks. Is it any good?

Sideways is perhaps my favorite film of last decade. It is pitch-perfect, IMO.

If only all romance dramas were as true to actual human experience and have as much to say about humanity as Before Sunrise/set.

The chick flick label gets applied to romcoms or romantic dramas that don't ring true.

The most boring plot I could ever imagine.. But oddly, somewhat entertaining.

I very seldom buy DVD movies, but I do buy concert DVD's and have about 250. Sideways is the only film DVD I've bought in the last 2 years, I've probably seen it at least 30 times. It's one of the movies I can never get tired of seeing again just like Raising Arizona or Fargo to name a couple. Sideways is a great buddy flick and made me a big fan of Paul Giamatti and also Thomas Haden Church.
