Off Season Lets Talk Guns

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

Took the Kel Tec KSG out today. That thing is fun as hell to shoot. Birdshot had very little recoil while buckshot and slugs kicked like a mule. I'm going to have to find some low recoil buckshot and a recoil pad before my wife will shoot it.

Can you guys tell me anything about Hammers scopes?
Got a guy on a buy, sell, trade web page looking to sell his 6-24X50 with side focus adjust and in scope level bubble. Looked up the reviews on it and they're a bit mixed, many seem to love it but others had issues with theirs, though the manufacturer did make it right by replacing/refunding purchase price.

I have never even heard of them, but after a quick internet search they just scream "BSA" and "Tasco" to me.

I am somewhat of a scope whore. What is your price limit and what are you looking for?

Wasn't really "looking" just keeping my eye open for something better for my .30-06 than the Tasco that's on it and didn't want to let a deal go by without checking into it.
Not sure how interested I am after my own search. Reviews are mixed, some seem to really like it but there are a few that had problems. The guy wants $100 and I found them brand new for $170-220, so not a bad deal but not a great one either.

One of my favorite scopes was made by Tasco back in the day. (SWFA SS).

Anyway, if the glass looks decent it might be worth it. I wouldn't expect much out of the illumination, though.

Yea, I've found that to mostly be a novelty.

It's even disappointing on my SWFA 5-20HD.

Whenever I come into this thread, I find myself just staring at the gif in the OP. I could literally spend thousands of dollars just by staring at that thing.

The pics are light in color, but the rifle is darker in real light.

I still need to add just a hair more dark to it.

Nice job, dude.

I don't think I could ever bring myself to paint one of my rifles. I'd be too afraid of screwing it up.
