Thats the way the draft goes. Pujols was taken #300. Carpenter something like #725. Miller was taken 2 spots before Trout. We have had more #1's flop than even make it to the majors etc.etc.

As you guys learned and proved again to everyone else, just get to the playoffs and hopefully you get hot. If you get to the playoffs, you got enough talent.

Getting "hot" is only necessary in the playoffs, not leading up to the playoffs. Cardinal fans in 2006 and 2011 thought we would get swept. We sucked going into the playoffs. In 2004 and 2005, we played as the best team in baseball and got smoked.

I think you guys got another year or two to get back and have a chance at a championship. I just don't see your team as a one and done chance.
