One thing I will say about Jordan Phillips is that he had multiple back injuries that, as a whole, required surgery. Teams are going to thoroughly check that out. It is never a good thing when any NFL player has a back injury, but it can be especially detrimental for a lineman. I don't know what his medical evaluation by NFL doctors was, but where he goes will hinge largely on those evaluations. He is a late first round talent in my opinion, but if those evaluations aren't what NFL doctors want to see, then he could slide a very long ways. Some team will take a shot at him at some point, but that point could be anywhere. He's a wild card for me.

My top 25 would look so completely different I would be hesitant to post it. Most of these have "athletes" up top (other than Winston - who is somewhat of an anomoly in terms of how he's being viewed by the pundits for the next level IMO; i.e., his combine times aren't anything special - in fact, compared to some recent previous top QB picks, they are downright pedestrian and border on marginally bad. His college numbers were very good, but he digressed this past year compared to his previous year and was throwing a large amount of interceptions and the ball wasn't coming out of his hand very well...)
I like Orchard better than Gregory. I like PJ Williams better than Trae Waynes. I like La'el Collins better than Schreff or Peat, etc. |
