Would You Welcome the Chiefs Leaving to Rid Yourself of the Hunts?

Bill Simmons' column on Daniel Snyder made me think about this again.

Over the last forty years there have been two consistent themes with the Chiefs: futility and the Hunt family.

If you were presented with the option of the Chiefs leaving for LA and getting a new franchise in Kansas City in 2018 would you take that deal, or is your loyalty to the Chiefs alone too great?

84% of the fan base is satisfied with an owner that probably would have kept Pioli if not for a complete uprising.

It's hard to believe that a fanbase which is in love with their history would have such shitty short-term memory.

Seriously, WTF are we supposed to do, other than find a new team?

Hey, you go have a meeting with Clark and tell him what's up.

For me, the product the NFL is putting on the field and on television is not as much fun to watch as it once was. Without any connection to a team, I would probably become one of those playoffs and super bowl only watchers.

It's a hypothetical question that will never happen.

I support the Chiefs because they are the local team and my family raised me into it.

It's okay to want another owner, and I don't understand why people are so married to history. I guess I have always been a forward thinker that looks at results to get an idea of what the future has to offer.

Besides, Clark was born with a silver-spoon shoved up his ass, and generally businesses will erode when the family that has had everything given to them takes over (even though it didn't have far to fall).

For the people that says that Clark has unloaded the bank to hire people, I AGREE. When it comes down to it, it's not HOW MUCH you spend, it's HOW you spend it. Snyder is a prime example.

That is why I want new ownership/fresh start. I know it will never happen, but I will still cheer the team.

Honestly, I envy them.

It would be nice to go back to "The glass is half-full".

I was there during the mid 90's and early 2000's when I was younger, and when we got to 7-3 I was it was back for a moment.

How do you figure that? They are at least trying to draft and develop their own QB and WR.
That alone gives them the advantage.

He unloaded the bank on Reid because he thought he was the solution. Right or wrong its not about Clark's commitment.

Its classic fandom to think you understand his situation. Hindsight is 20/20 and Clark has more time coming to him before the decision should be made on his commitment to winning
I don't agree with those that believe that Hunt is not committed to winning.
I just believe he's made poor decisions to achieve the goal, and is afraid to risk the uncertainty that hiring a couple of unprovens at the same time.

Thus far, that approach equals "No risk, no reward".

True, but you still have to make the right decisions there.

Look at Cleveland. Sure, they try, but are horrible at it to date.

It can not be undone. Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny, CONSUME YOU, IT WILL!

The Chiefs are like the Old Republic. They need to be toppled by a kick-ass Sith Lord who will dominate the NFL galaxy for 20 years.
