Eventually you have to stop giving the more talented team free goals.

Bad luck, bad bounce, but not necessarily a bad call. Kind of like our shittiest CB bopping a shitty pass right into the hands of the opposition's best receiver for a TD instead of an INC [or INT].

Not even close to a bad call. Dude shook hands with the ball. Have to know where you are on the pitch and know where your hands are(easier said than done, but still). Croatia is writing the handbook on how to lose as a scrappy underdog. Dominating possession and dictating pace but shitting themselves in big moments.

Croatia is dominating almost every aspect of this game, but they just can't counter France's forwards and what I want to call fast breaks - and it may be the difference.

Haven't watched any matches since the group stages since Germany got knocked out but I'm getting flashbacks watching this match.

Croatia just dominating the game but every time France finally breaks out on a counter its butt clenching time for Croatia.

well that was a fun run - they certainly didn't get curb stomped - they had to stop teams for France to get two of their three goals. No shame Croatia. Croatian has dominated the regular play

The BBC crew were focused on the 'intentional' aspect, saying it happened too quickly.

Like I said earlier, it's in the gray area, but the degree with which the hand extended to make sole contact, and the fact that it altered the path of the ball on goal made the inference reasonable, even if not a given or absolutely unambiguous.
