I really wish I worked for a company that had 53 employees and the company HAD to give these employees $10 Million total amongst them to retain them.

The cap is 177.2 for 2018 and Aaron Rodgers signed an extension that averages 33.5 million per year. That’s 18.9% of the cap. That’s on par with most of the big name QBs extensions over the last few years. 17.5%-19%.

The cap is predicted to rise to 191m next year...a rise of roughly 7.8%. That’s Pats third year.

If the cap rises another 7.8% the following year, it will be roughly 205m. That’s Pats fourth year. That’s probably the best time to extend him.

If it rises that same amount and KC gives him the same size slice of the pie that Rodgers got, that’s 39million per year average on a new deal/extension.

If we don’t re-sign Nelson, the only true corner we have under contract for 2019 is Fuller.
