Carl is probably still the GM.(Not sure how I'd feel about that.) Pioli/Cassel never infects this franchise.

Who did they try to trade up with?
If they tried to trade up with the Falcons, and they had Ryan pegged as the franchise QB, then they never had any shot.

Herm would have still sucked and gotten canned. He was no head coach, but was better than Romeo. Oh, God, why did I go and sour my morning?

As a football guy, I like Herm. I'd hire him for just about any position outside of HC or OC. I think he has a keen eye for talent, he just struggled on gameday. He's fun as an analyst though.

I agree with this. I think he knew that too. That's why he tried to hire or retain proven and knowledgeable coordinators. He didn't take risks with his coordinators. He wanted a proven commodity.

You know, after Herm was fired, I said to myself "thank God! He was atrocious, terrible and there is nobody worse and there is nowhere for the Chiefs to go but up." Crap was I ever so wrong lol

Maybe one more division title, no Eric Fisher and possibly a playoff win?
